COVID 19 Vaccinations

We will contact you directly to invite you for a vaccination at the appropriate time. This is determined by vaccine availability and which group of patients are currently being vaccinated. We are part of the BRUNEL federated group of practices and have joined forces to roll out a mass vaccination campaign for Swindon residents and of course all our patients will benefit from this collaborative effort. Here are the groups in order of vaccination:

All individuals aged 16 years to 64 years with underlying health conditions which put them at higher risk of serious disease and mortality (see Appendix A or Chapter 14a)

COVID 19 symptoms: If you have any sore throat, cold or recent cough, fever, loss of smell, OR have been in contact with symptoms of Covid 19 then please do not attend the surgery, please self isolate and check for further instructions NHS111 online .

If you are unwell with any symptoms – however mild then please do not attend the surgery for anything unless expressly invited by the medical team. You must declare any symptoms at the time of entry.

Symptoms
These can be mild with a sore throat, headache, body ache and a new rash. The most common symptoms of coronavirus (COVID-19) are recent onset of:

  • new continuous cough and/or
  • high temperature
  • rash
  • loss of sense of smell or taste

For most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.
